Event Description This experience can only be described as Fit for a Queen! First a docent-led tour of the elegant Bradford House, a modified Queen Anne Victorian-style home which is an excellent example of turn-of-the-century home. Built by rancher Albert Sumner Bradford in the early 1900s, highlights of the house include a ruby glass window, coved ceilings, handcrafted hemlock staircase and other delicately designed features. Next, enjoy an optional fine tea lunch on the famous Queen Mary or eat at one of the ships various eateries. Onboard the ship, you'll tour the special exhibit, Diana: Legacy of a Princess that allows you to step in the shoes of the woman who changed the way we looked at a Princess forever. Diana's true essence is captured in the exhibit, which showcases a priceless collection of her gowns, dressing room display and other cherished treasures. This is one of the largest collections of Princess Diana memorabilia! Get an in-depth look at other major members of the British Royal Family, those who actually visited or sailed on The Queen Mary including King George V and Queen Mary, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, The Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth. Also, see designer sketches of Diana's gowns, handwritten letters from all the major Royals and more! There will also be time to browse the Queen Mary's public spaces and shops. |
