Event Description
A special jazz concert featuring bassist and COC faculty member, Jeff Takiguchi. Jeff will be premiering a new composition written for him by jazz legend, composer and arranger, Dirk Fischer. The piece highlights the upright bass as a jazz solo instrument using the bow. Another special feature of the concert will highlight local musician and Summerhill Vila resident, Mrs. Marty Baxter. Mrs. Baxter has an impressive background in music as a jazz performer, composer and arranger. Dirk Fischer took one of her original pieces and created a beautiful arrangement for the COC big band.
